Coaching Football With The Adolescent Brain In Mind — 2nd Edition
Delivering neuroscience theory into football coaching practice — written by Dr Perry Walters.
"Delivering theory into practice in football coaching"
Dr Walters is a highly respected adolescent neuroscientist and former Bristol City FC youth product who has worked with The FA and clubs across the Football League. This book sheds a neuroscience light on the development of young players — breaking down complex theory so coaches can understand what is happening inside the adolescent brain, and what that means for how they coach.
Dr Walters breaks down the neuroscience of adolescent development in clear, accessible language — explaining what is occurring within the brain at each stage and how it directly impacts a young player's learning, behaviour, and emotional responses.

very intriguing book and useful to my role, and would definitely recommend to coaches to individuals of a specific age
downloading of the book online based on my browser can be time consuming however as well as tracking when and where reading/stopping can be difficult. wouldn't be an issue with a paper copy
Bought it for my brother for Christmas, as he likes that sort of thing, and coincidentally it was something he had wanted. He was very pleased with it.
if you are coaching high school or U19's - or older, this book is outstanding at helping you understanding where your players are mentally.
Reading the first section (a book that stands on its own) will help you understand how the second section applies which is training scenarios you can use and modify.
A great book.
The books are good but and this was my fault I didn’t look properly and realise that the B licence books had one of the same books as the C licence. My plan was to go on to buy the A licence bundle but this also has a number of duplicates so there is no point. Books are good but a lot to buy not in a bundle.
Outstanding Resource
If you're into coaching I'd recommend this, clear detail and really good fun to deliver to my side who've played 4-3-3- for quite a while now. Helped us use width better with the ball.
